Looking back, looking forward.

Before we begin tackling our plans for 2022, we’re taking a moment to look back and recognize all the achievements of 2021. In another year marked by significant shifts to our daily ways of life, Thumbtack pros and customers have been turning plans into action and making great strides forward.

In 2021, customers started over 7 million projects on Thumbtack. That’s over 7 million to-do lists worked on — homes cleaned, lawns mowed, dance lessons completed and photography sessions snapped. We continued to see a focus on the home: home maintenance was the leading industry in projects this year, as homeowners across the country focused on fixing issues, making improvements, and investing in their homes.

And our customers were happy to share their experiences — by the end of the year we hit, and then exceeded 7.5 million 5-star reviews since launching Thumbtack. With every new review, pros strengthened their reputations and neighbors and community members were able to make informed decisions as they found and hired a pro.

Over the past year, millions of people — nearly 4.5 million — have used Thumbtack to effortlessly manage everything in and around their homes. In the coming year, who knows how many more? We aim to continue helping homeowners confidently know what to do, when to do it and who to hire — and empowering small businesses nationwide to book more profitable jobs and grow successfully.

Looking back at the past 12 months, no one puts it better than our pros themselves.
