Spring cleaning doesn’t have to be a chore. If you dread the thought of scouring every inch of your space, don’t worry. We’ve narrowed it down to a shortlist of essentials to get your home sparkling, both inside and out. Take a day or two to cover these tasks and you’ll be surprised how much cleaner your home looks (and feels!).
Indoors: Clean Overlooked Spaces
For the most lift, focus on erasing stains and clearing allergens from places you take for granted.
Dust along any flat surfaces like bookshelves, windowsills, and side tables. Vacuum underneath beds and couches, and take a closer look at any indoor plants that may need a little trim (and a half-turn toward the sunshine).
Outdoors: Polish and Prep
It’s almost patio season — get ready now by clearing dust and grime from the winter months. Pressure wash the side of the house and the deck, then wipe down window and door screens.
Make sure outdoor tables and chairs are clean and scrub the grill to prep for summer BBQs. For an extra decorative touch, string up some outdoor lights and switch out any old pillows or cushions.
If you’re ready to get started on a light but effective spring clean, use this checklist or download the print-friendly version, stick it to your fridge and get cleaning.
