James Holmes is moving places in Dallas with his moving business, First Global Relocators. With 111 Thumbtack hires, he is one of the most successful pros on Thumbtack. We called him last week to hear his story and to see if he would share some tips.
James has increased his business by 70 percent since joining Thumbtack in January of last year. “It’s definitely a life changer,” he says. “It’s one of the best sites for reaching customers.” He sets himself up for major customer magnetization by being consistently reliable and never tacking on extra fees for going the extra mile – often literally. “Sometimes a customer has a few items at another location. We’re happy to go grab them at no charge,” he explains. This kind of no-strings help means James has a steadily growing list of glowing reviews. “Customer feedback helps a lot,” he notes. “People will decide to use us because of our reviews.”
